Business Objects was utilized in the
reporting
part of the system and web access was through Cold Fusion. I managed a Pune, India
offshore group that ran
production and developed software.
I was a DBA
with Electronic Data Warehouse Teradata DBA Group in a V2R5 Teradata
environment providing user and
on call
support for assigned databases.
I designed
and tuned database tables, optimized user SQL queries,
including use of
Partition Primary Index (PPI) and analyzed
EXPLAIN plans to optimize data retrieval and
eliminate Spool problems. I provided
performance troubleshooting of data problems and developed BTEQ and
Mload/Fastload
applications to conserve Table Space.
I archived data, loaded new tables,
and
restored history. I compressed tables to minimize space
usage. All
of this was completed in an
MVS environment using the Express SEI-Level 3.

MVS. WPM, used

throughout all aspects of the system development lifecycle
(SDLC).

* New interface to Equipment Velocity Application (EVA) Oracle application.
* EDI analytical subsystem which created a statistical information file (contained information on the EDI data quality coming from the railroads to

files to load Teradata tables with EDI transaction type data. Created a BIQUERY model
for users to query
the tables.

New
GQL software (query front-end) for the new Eagle+ billing system
(Oracle).
